Ya Zahraa (a.;s.) … Marasem-e-aza-e-Fatemiyah continue in Iran

HOLY CITY OF MASHHAD, Iran: Marasem-e-azadari in connection with the anniversary of martyrdom of Banu-i-Is lam Hazret Fatimeh Zahraa (a.s.), the daughter of Prophet Hazret Muhammad (s.v.), were in continuation across the country on Thursday.

Some traditions say Hazret-e-Zahraa (a.s.) was martyred on Jamadi Al-Aval 13 while according to some other it was Jamadi-os Sani 3 when she kissed martyrdom.

Mourning ceremonies are held across the globe on both dates.

In the holy cities of Mashhad and Qom, main mourning gatherings were held at the holy shrines of Hazret Imam Ali Reza (a.s.) and her sister Hazret Fatimeh Masumeh (a.s.) attended by millions of mourners.

Majales were also held at homes and offices of Maraje and Ayaat.

In Tehran, besides other venues, majales-e-aza whave been organized at hoseiniyah Imam Khomeini. Supreme leader of Iran Ayatullah Ali Khamenei and President Ahmedinejad attended on Thursday. The majales which began on Monday will end on Friday May 29.
