ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The nation-wide chehlum (40th) of the martyrs
who kissed martyrdom on farsh-e-azaa in a suicide attack on a
majlis-e-azaa in central imambargah sarpak Chakwal on April 5 was
observed on Thursday May 7 on the call of Quaid-i-Millat-i-Jafariya
Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah Moosavi with this pledge that holy blood of
great martyrs will not be let to go waste, and idols of terrorism,
killing, violence and biases will be crushed by displaying unity and
oneness.

Marking the occasion, big gatherings of Quran Khwani and
Majalis-e-Tarahim as well as peaceful protest rallies were held across
the country. ulema and speakers threw lioght on philosophy of
martyrdom.
A demonstration organized by TNFJ Islamabad district Chelum Committee
was staged in front of National Press club against terrorism. besdides
different clerics, local office-bearers of TNFJ, MO, MFP and MSO and
religious elite led the demonstratiuon.
The demonstrators were chanting slogans: 'death of a martyr is life of
the nation', this is lesson of Karbala - fear Allah', Sunni and Shbia
are brethren to each other', Moosavi your name will remain alive till
the life of sun and moon' etc.

Addressing the demonstrators, deputy convener of the central
chehlum committee Meesam Tammar expressed grave concern that despite
pessage of more than one month to the Chalwal terrorism, neither
culprits were arrested nor investigations in this regard were gone in
advance. He strongly demanded from the government to take practical
steps instead of child-consolation and lip-service. he regretted that
Punjab chief minister did not bear to go to the bereaved families of
the Chakwal incident to express condolence. He demanded effective
implementation of Anti-Terrorism act.


A resolution adopted unanimously on this occasion said that
establishment of internal peace and defense of Pakistan borders is
duty of all. The resolution while strongly condemning all terror
incidents paid tributes to all martyrs without any discrimination.
The demonstrators vowed to say 'labbayk' on every call of
Quaid-i-Millat-i-Jafariya Agha moosavi for protection of religion and
motherland and to render every kind of sacrifice for defense of Pak
land along with Pakistan military.
According to reports reaching to the office of TNFJ Central Chehlum
Committee, majalis-re-tarahim and protest rallies were also held in
Lahore, Gujranwala, Chakwal, Jehlam, Faisalabad, Jhanmg, Sadiqabad,
Bhakkar, Khanewal, Kot Addo, Skardu, Karachi, Rahim Yar Khan, Attock,
Haiderabad, Peshawar, D.I.Khan, D.G.Khan, Sakkhar, Rawalpindi,
Muzaffarabad, Multan, Sargodha, Mianwali, Chakwal and many other
cities.
