Last will of Sayyedah Khadija (peace be upon her)

By: Muhammad b. Abdullah

Before her death on 10th of the month of Ramadan, the benefactress of Islam and the Muslims Umm Al-Mo’mineen Sayyedah Khadija-tol-Kubra (peace be upon her) called her daughter, Mistress of the Women of World Sayyedah Fatimah Az-Zahraa (peace be upon her), near her and said:

“O the life of mother! You are daughter of Allah’s Messenger. You are supreme and distinguished of all women. Your father Holy Prophet (peace be upon him and his pure progeny) has told me about your status and excellence. I am proud of that my daughter is the Leader of Paradise and Mistress of Women of the World…”

“My daughter! Listen to my words with courage and convey these to your respected father. O’ the satisfaction of my heart, you have to make your heart strong and bear the circumstances with dignity and elevation…”

“Respected mother! I’m your daughter; I inherited your selflessness and courage. Say what you want, I’ll convey your message to father,” said Fatimah Az-Zahra (peace be upon her), who was very little at that time, with due respect.

The Princess of Arab and life-partner of the Chief of Prophets, Prophet Muhammad bin Abdullah (peace be upon him and his pure progeny), Sayyedah Khadija-tol-Kubra (peace be upon her) said in a tearful voice: “Everyone has to taste death… take my these words as my wasiyah (Will) and convey this of mine request to your father Prophet of Allah that he shroud me of his cloak, the cloak which was on his holy shoulders at the time of revelation of Wahi – I want to remain draped in the mercy of Prophet of Allah (peace be upon him and his pure progeny), and desire to keep my grave shinning with his blessing. Ask him to bestow honor to my devotions.”

Getting her message, Sayyed Al-Mursaleen (Chief of Messengers) and Khatem Al-Ambiyaa (Seal of Prophets) Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him and his pure progeny) was surrounded by grave sorrow, and said to Fatimah (peace be upon her) while giving his cloak: “O the life of Father! Take this mine shawl and give it right now to your mother so that her heart becomes satisfied.”

As he gave his shawl to Fatimah Az-Zahraa (peace be upon her), Gabriel (peace be upon him) descended with this message of Allah, The Exalted: “O the Favorite of The Magnificent! Allah says after Salam (peace) that whatever Khadija (peace be upon her) had, she sacrificed it in My way. Now, Me (Allah) Himself will honor her with attire of My favor. A holy shroud will be provided for Khadija from Heaven.”

This tidings satisfied the uneasy and worried heart of Holy Prophet. He informed Khadija (peace be upon her) this all-embracing favor of the Creator of Universe resulting in her pleasure.

On her death, he said to their only daughter Fatimah Az-Zahraa (peace be upon her): “By God! None is better than Khadija,

She believed in me at a time when people denied me,

She verified me at a time when people belied me,

She helped me with her wealth at a time when people had deprived me of help,

And she sacrificed all her wealth for propagation of religion,

By her, I was granted with like-you Chosen and Mistress of the Women of World daughter.”

The holy grave of Sayyedah Khadija (Peace be upon her) is in the Cemetery of Mo’alla, Holy City of Mecca, Saudi Arabia. Aal-e-Saud of Saudi Arabia bulldozed the holy Shrine of Khadija (peace be upon her), to whom Islam owes an unpayable debt, along with holy shrines of other Ummahatol Mo’mineen (may Allah be please with them), Prophet’s daughter Sayyedah Fatimah (peace be on her), his infallible descendants (peace be on them), his uncle, aunts and companions (may Allah be please with them).

"Knowledge is better than wealth because it protects you while you have to guard wealth. it decreases if you keep on spending it but the more you make use of knowledge ,the more it increases . what you get through wealth disappears as soon as wealth disappears but what you achieve through knowledge will remain even after you."
