Blast rips through SCIRI Baghdad offices, one dead By: Hamoud Kufi BAGHDAD, Iraq: A powerful pre-dawn explosion on Friday hit the Baghdad offices of Supreme Council for Islamic Revolution in Iraq, bringing down half of a one story residential building used as a homeless shelter run by SCIRI and leaving one Iraqi woman dead.
Around a dozen people were reportedly wounded in the blast. One witness said a large explosive device blew up the structure. There was no immediate comment from the US military on the incident. Wednesday, a top official of SCIRI Sayyed Muhannad Al-Hakim was martyred in Baghdad. END |
