As-Sadr’s deputy held in Iraq for killing US soldiers

BAGHDAD, Iraq: A second-in-command of Moqtada As-Sadr has been seized here in connection with the killing of two American soldiers in October, after US troops missed the alleged paymaster of attacks on coalition forces in Iraq.

While speaking at a press conference, Brigadier General Mark Kimmitt said: “Coalition forces in Baghdad detained Ammar Al-Yasseri, operations director of Moqtada As-Sadr in Sadr City.”
