Yemenis holding Ramadan programs By: Sultan Ahmed SANAA, Yemen: Like other parts of the world, Ramadan programs are being held in Yemen organized by the government, different organizations and associations. Quran recitation contests, majalis-e-husayni, exhibitions and several other programs are held in different cities attended by large number of people. The Hikma Charity Society of Yemen with the cooperation of the Taiz Broadcasting Station will hold a Quran competition during Ramadan that would be aired on the station’s airwaves. On daily bases, the society also distributes free meals and sends food baskets to poor families including orphans. END Yemen scholars urge Iraqis to promote unity
