Turkish, Indians protest disrespect of Hayderi shrine By: Sultan Ahmed ISTANBUL, Turkey: Demonstrations were held on Friday in different parts of the world against the desecration of Holy Najaf and the sacred mausoleum of Hazrat Imam Ali bin Abi Talib (a.s.).
In Istanbul, Turkey, demonstrators chanted anti-American slogans during a demonstration on Friday. The demonstrators were protesting the standoff at the revered Imam Ali (a.s.) Shrine in Najaf and the US occupation of Iraq. In India, the day was marked as Protest Day against US presence in Iraq and the recent attack on the holy city of Najaf and the holy shrine of Hazrat Imam Ali (a.s.). In Indian-occupied Kashmir, protesters took to streets to condemn Iraq holy sites sacrilege. END |
