Breaking news: 13 hurt in bomb attack near H-Abbas (p) shrine By: Ismail Zabeeh HOLY CITY OF KARBALA, Iraq: At least 13 people have been reported wounded, one of them seriously, in a bomb attack in the holy city of Karbala. According to reports the blast, which occurred Sunday night at about 10:00 PM (local time), rocked the road, which leads to the holy shrine of Hazrat Abbas bin Ali (p), at a distance of some 100 meters from the holy mausoleum. The explosion came hours after a suicide car bomb claimed at least 25 lives outside the main US base in the capital city of Baghdad. END |
