Col. Ralph Baker said: “It looks like the bomb was 1,000 pounds of plastic explosives and artillery shells mixed in with explosives to create more injuries.” Lt. Col. Peter Jones said at the scene at least 25 people were killed and some US civilians were among the wounded in the blast at the small Mount Lebanon Hotel. He said he had no reports of any Westerners killed. END |
