US forces demolish mosque in Karbala

HOLY CITY OF KARBALA, Iraq: US forces have destructed a mosque near the holy shrines of Al-Imam Al-Hussein and Hazrat Al-Abbas (peace be on them) on Tuesday noon.

According to France Press correspondent US troops backed by four military vehicles approached towards Al-Mukhayyam Mosque, planted dynamite bar in several places and exploded the building in front of the eyes of Karbala residents.

Al-Mukhayyam Mosque was used by Moqtada As-Sadr’s Mehdi militia for their headquarters.
