Al-Hakim: Calling terrorists resistance fighters “grave mistake” By: Anjum Kermani ROME, Italy: Sayed Abdul Aziz Al-Hakim, Chairman Supreme Council for Islamic Revolution in Iraq (SCIRI) and son of grand Marje’ of Shiite World Grand Ayatullah Sayed Mohsin Al-Hakim (late), said forthcoming nationwide elections in Iraq are quite sensitive and will determine the fate of the nation. “We need to have a precise planning for participation at the elections,” he said. Talking to a foreign news agency about Iraq deteriorating situation, Al-Hakim posed a question: “Do you call brutal beheading, killing Sayyed Muhammad Baqer Al-Hakim, massacring the innocent Iraqi civilians particularly women and children, and attacking police stations in dozens of occasions armed resistance?” “Such moves are condemned by followers of all divine religions and those who care for the norms of humanity and for human life,” he said adding that calling them resistance fighters is a “grave mistake”. Al-Hakim said occupation forces presence in Iraq is definitely an important negative factor against Iraq's national security. END |
