Shaban aromatic occasions revived with celebrations in Karbala

HOLY CITY OF KARBALA, Iraq: Birth Anniversaries of Al-Abbas bin Ali bin Abi Taleb (peace be on them) and Al-Imam Ali bin Al-Hussein Zain-ul-Abidin (peace be on them) on Shaban 4 and 5 were observed with due reverence and enthusiasm in the holy city of Karbala.

Special big gatherings and festivals were held in the holy city as well as other parts of the country to mark the auspicious occasions.

Thousands of devotees flocked and were still thronging at the magnificently decorated holy shrines of Head of Youths of Paradise Al-Imam Abu Abdellah Al-Hussein (peace be on him) and his brother Qamar Bani Hashem Abu Fazl Al-Abbas (peace be on him) throughout the nights and days offering them profound felicitations, holding festive programs, reciting eulogies, performing special a`maal and renewing their pledges with the Imam and his brother (peace be on them).

Inside the holy shrines, the decoration signs - colored lights, flags and widespread different flowers - were witnessed all over the sanctuaries.

Special gatherings were also held at the area between the two holy shrines. Representatives of offices of Ayaat, religious, political and scholarly personalities and organizations made arrangements.

National Guard men besides attending these celebrations played important role in keeping and maintaining the security.

Speakers and poets excelled in throwing light on the biography of Prophet's Family (peace be on them) with poems and poetry that revived this fragrant occasion in the believers’ hearts and deepened their ecstasy. Delight and happiness was clearly seen on the faces of all visitors of holy shrines.
