By: Ismail Zabeeh

HOLY CITY OF NAJAF, Iraq: Al-Hauzah Al-Ilmiyah in the holy city of Najaf has strongly condemned international community silence on the massacre of 32 innocent Iraqi children – Christians and Muslims - in Baghdad terror attack as ‘shameful’.

In a statement on July 15, the Hauzah expressed sympathy with the bereaved families and said Arab silence over carnage of innocent children is shocking.

It said children massacre at the hands of those who considered blood of Muslims and innocents lawful reminded Iraqis of the slaughter of 6-month-old infant of Imam Hussein (A), Abdullah Ali Asghar (A), in the heartrending tragedy of Karbala at the hands of those who considered blood of A’immah At-Tahireen (infallible imams from the progeny of holy Prophet, peace be upon them) legal.

The statement further said it is regretful that international organizations and leaders did not condemn this massacre which has torn even the stoniest heart.
