DUBAI, UAE: Muslims in various Arab, Asian and African
countries observed Eid-ol Fitr marking the end of the holy fasting
month of Ramadan on Thursday devotedly and enthusiastically with
prayers for safety of humanity and success of Islamic world.
Millions, wearing fine clothes, gathered in mosques,
husseiniyahs, grounds and open places in Saudi Arabia, Syria, Egypt,
Lebanon, Kuwait, the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Qatar, Palestine,
Jordan, Yemen, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Philippines, Slovenia, Kenya,
Afghanistan, Indonesia, Malaysia, Bosnia and Algeria to offer Eid
prayer marking the start of Eid day.
Later, people visited their dead relatives in the
graveyards.
Special Eid foods and desserts were cooked, gifts were exchanged and
Eid greetings were extended to each other.
