Ramadan spiritual programs in Holy Karbala

HOLY CITY OF KARBALA, Iraq: Programs of Ramadan, holy month of Allah, the month of blessings and forgiveness, are continued in the holy city of Karbala, home to the holy shrines of Al-Imam Al-Hussein (A) and Al-Abbas bin Ali (A).

Special Ramadan ceremonies are being held at the holy decorated mausoleums as well as at the offices of Maraje`. Ramadan supplications including Duaa Al-Iftitah are recited throughout the nights followed by religious lectures. The gates of the sacred shrines remain opened till Sehr (dawn) wherein supplications of Sehr are recited in beautiful voice till dawn prayer call. Then collective dawn prayer is offered.

Daily Holy Quran gatherings are also witnessed at the Husseini and Abbasi shrines.

Markets and bazaars are full of special Ramadan stuff for Sohur and Iftar.
