Accord to build Al-Imam Ali (p) airport inked

HOLY NAJAF, Iraq: A contract has been signed to construct Al-Imam
Ali (peace be upon him) airport in the holy city of Najaf, home to the
holy shrine of Master of Believers Al-Imam Ali bin Abi Taeb (p).
Holy Najaf Assembly and Fahd Albasra Company inked the agreement
during a grand ceremony that was attended by Holy Najaf governor, his
deputy, head of city’s assembly Sayyed Abdul-Hussein Al-Moosawi and
many other officials.
Addressing the ceremony, the Najaf governor said this great plan will
serve hundreds of thousands of pilgrims who land on this airport for
pilgrimage to the holy shrines in holy Najaf and Karbala, and fly from
it for hajj.
