Masses gather in Najaf, Karbala to remember Imam Al-Kazem (p)

HOLY NAJAF, Iraq: Hundreds of thousands of mourners in the holy
cities of Karbala and Najaf held mourning ceremonies commemorating
Imam Mousa Kazem (p), the seventh Imam, despite tight security as well
as the closure of Imam Ali (p) shrine in Holy Najaf in protest over
its desecration at the hands of Moqtada Sadr followers.
Iraqi Security forces were deployed in the entrances to the cities as
crowds of mourners poured into religious centres to mark the martyrdom
of the Imam Al-Kazem (p).
