KADIMIYAH, Iraq: Tens of thousands of mourners
gathered on Dhol-Qa’dah 29 Thursday December 21 at the holy
shrine of Al-Imam Muhammad Taqi Al-Jawwad (A) in Kadimiyah to
commemorate his martyrdom anniversary.
Al-Imam Muhammad Taqi Al-Jawwad (A), holy Prophet Muhammad (S)’s
ninth infallible successor, is buried beside his grandfather
Al-Imam Mussa bin Ja’far Al-Kadim (A) in the holy city of
Kadimiyah.
Security was beefed up for protection of the mourners who
performed head and chest pounding to signify their grief.
Big majales and mawakeb al-azaa were also held across the
country.
Food was cooked in giant pots for the mourners of Jawwad-ol
A’emmah (A), while drinks were also provided to them.
