Millions in Iraq mourn Al-Imam Al-Jawwad (A) amid tight security

AL-KAZEMIYAH, Iraq: To mark the martyrdom anniversary
of Al-Imam Muhammad bin Ali bin Mousa Al-Jawwad (A.S.) on Dhol`qaadah
29, hundreds of thousands of Iraqis gathered at his holy mausoleum in
Kazemiyah.
 
 
On this occasion, security was beefed up, Iraqi security forces closed
thoroughfares leading to the Kazemiyah and traffic was blocked. A
police source said the security forces took these steps for security
of the mourning pilgrims.
According to the source thousands of mourners reached at the holy
shrine on foot.
