Flocks gather in Najaf to greet Imam Ali (A)

HOLY NAJAF, Iraq: Sayedah Zaynab, daughter of
Al-Imam Ali bin Abi Talib (A) and Fatimah Az-Zahraa bint'or
Rasul Al-Akram Muhammad (S) was born on 5 Jamady'ol Oola in
the fifth year of Hijra.
She was the third child of her parents after Al-Imam Al-Hasan
(A) and Al-Imam Al-Hussein (A). She has various titles
including Al-Hauraa, Zaynab Al-Kobra, Omm Al-Masaeb, Batlato
Karbala, Batlato Ashuraa and Al-Aqeelah.
Holy city of Najaf, home to the holy shrine of her father
Al-Imam Ali bin Abi Talib (A), received hundreds of thousands
of pilgrims and devotees, who were gathered here to extend
their greetings to the Imam Ali (A) marking the birth
anniversary of Zaynab Al-Kobra (A).
 
Meanwhile, big celebratory programs were held across the
country.
