Karbala poetic fair resolves to uphold Husseini thought for Iraq unity

HOLY KARBALA, Iraq: As Arbaeen climaxes, third annual Husseini poetic fair was held in the holy city of Karbala attended by a large number of renowned poets, intellectuals and thinkers.

Ash-Shaer Al-Karbalayi known as Redha Al-Khaffaji scented the gathering with a Husseini elegy which praised soil of Karbala which became holy with the blood of Al-Imam Al-Hussein (p). Similarly Ali Al-Fitaal through his elegies highlighted Husseini thinking and thought.

Others who participated in the fair included poets Hadi Ar-Rabiyi, Taher Al-Mar’aby, Abdulhussein Khalf Ad-Da’ami, Ismail Al-Waeli, Sayyed Abo-Nofal who owns Al-Mahdi library in SArdab Al-Maktabaat near Holy Husseini Shrine, and Dr Muhammad Abd Fihan who recited elegy on the holy head of Imam Al-Hussein (p).

The gathering reiterated its resolve to further promote Husseini thought in order to maintain Iraq unity.
