Plans to build ‘city for pilgrims’ in Holy Najaf

HOLY NAJAF, Iraq: A plan to establish a city for pilgrims, consisting of forty-six hotels and other tourist facilities, in the holy city of Najaf is underway.

This was stated by a Najaf official Engr. Abdelkarim Abdelmagid Al-Khoaga.

Millions of pilgrims annually visit the holy shrine of cousin, son-in-law and first infallible successor of holy Prophet (p), Al-Imam Ali bin Abi Talib (p) in the holy city of Najaf.

The holy city is facing lack of hotels and other tourism services.


Holy Najaf hosts ceremonies in memory of Marje Al-Hakim

HOLY CITY OF NAJAF, Iraq: In connection with the 35th death anniversary of late Marje Shiayaan-e-Aalam Grand Ayatullah Sayyed Mohsen Al-Hakim, holy city of Najaf revived the occasion by hosting conferences and commemorative ceremonies.
