By: Ismail Zabeeh

HOLY CITY OF KARBALA, Iraq: Chief of Karbala Police Muhammad Abo Al-Walid said on Monday that a terror clique, which was planning to bomb the holy shrines of Al-Imam Al-Hussein and Abo Al-Fazl Al-Abbas (peace be upon them ), has been arrested, according to Aswaat-ol Iraq.

Talking to members of local councils in Karbala province, Abo Al-Walid said: “We have seized a dangerous gang from one of the hotels of the city on Sunday that was planning to bomb the two holy mausoleums of Al-Imam Al-Hussein and Al-Abbas (peace be upon them) to ignite unstoppable civil war.”

Without giving any further details, he told that the members of the gang belong to death triangle – a name applied to Al-Latifiya, Al-Mahmoudiyah and Al-Yousafiyah, 80 kilometers north of Karbala.

On 22 February this year, the holy shrines of Al-Imamain Ali Naqi Al-Hadi and Hasan Al-Askari (peace be upon them) in the holy city of Samarra were bombed.
