Al-Marje Sayyed Al-Hakim’s death anniversary marked

HOLY CITY OF NAJAF, Iraq: Thirty-seventh (37th) death anniversary of late Al-Marje Al-A’ala Al-Faqih Grand Ayatullah Sayyed Mohsin Al-Hakim (Qoddessa Serrohu Ash-Sharif) was observed with due respect.

The main ceremony was held at Al-Hindi mosque in the holy city of Najaf attended by large number of people.

Addressing the commemorative gathering, Mo’tamed Al-Marjaiyah Sayyed Ahmed As-Safi threw light on the life and marjaiyah of Sayyed Mohsin Al-Hakim. He said Al-Marje Al-Hakim sent preachers across Iraq and also throughout the Islamic and Arab world. He was the first Marje who worked on spread of libraries.

Al-Allamah Dr. Sheikh Muhammad Hussein Saghir also addressed the ceremony paying tributes to the late marje were.

Poetic tribute was also paid to him.

Office of Al-Marje Sayyed Muhammad Said Al-Hakim (maternal grandson of the late Marhe) organized the ceremony.

Hojjatol Islam Wa Muslimin Sayyed Muhammad Hussein Al-Hakim, grand Ayatullah Sayyed Muhammad Baqer Al-Hakim’s son Sayyed Sadeq Al-Hakim, Hojjatol Islam Wa Muslimin Sayyed Ammar Al-Hakim, late grand Ayatullah Sayyed Muhammad Taqi Al-Hakim’s son Sayyed Ala-uddin Al-Hakim, Al-Allamah Al-Faqih Ash-Shahid Sayyed Abdus-Saheb Al-Hakim’s son Sayyed Jafar Al-Hakim, Al-Allamah Al-Faqih Ash-Shahid Kazem Al-Hakim’s sons Sayyed Reza Al-Hakim and Sayyed Jawwad Al-Hakim besides sons of martyrs of Aal-e-Hakim were present on the occasion to receive the guests.

Representatives of Ayatullah As-Sistani, Ayatullah Sheikh Ishaq Al-Fayaz, and Ayatullah Hafez Bashir An-Najafi, Holy Najaf governor, his deputy, members of Najaf governorate, teachers and students of Najaf Hoza, tribal delegates and people from across the country attended the ceremony. 


Iraqis honour Baqir As-Sadr, Bint-ol Hodaa

HOLY CITY OF NAJAF, Iraq: Iraqis observed the martyrdom anniversary of great Islamic thinker Ayatullah Sayyed Muhammad Baqir As-Sadr and his knowledgeable sister Aminah As-Sadr (Bint-ol Hodaa) who were brutally martyred at the hands of despot Saddam regime.
