Tens of thousands mark Imam Hasan (A) martyrdom in Karbala

HOLY KARBALA, Iraq: In connection with the anniversary of martyrdom
of Al-Imam Al-Hasan bin Ali bin Abi Talib Al-Mojtabaa (AS) on Saffar 7
Sunday, tens of thousands of mourners gathered at the holy Husseini
shrine to commemorate the occasion and extend condolence to Imam
Hussein (AS) on his brother (AS)’s martyrdom and sufferings.
According to some traditions, it was 7th of Saffar when Al-Imam Al-Hasan
Al-Mojtabaa (AS) was martyred while some other traditions say it was
28th Saffar.
Food was cooked in giant pots at the streets of the holy city to
facilitate guests of Al-Imam Al-Hasan (AS).
