Fatimiyah mourning observed in City of Imam Hussein (A)

HOLY CITY OF KARBALA, Iraq: First Ftimiyah Mourning Days
were reverently observed in Iraq to mark the anniversary of martyrdom
of Fatimah Az-Zahraa (A), daughter of holy Prophet (S), on Jamadi Al-Awwal
13.
On this occasion, the main mourning programs were witnessed in the
holy city of Karbala – home to the holy shrine of Al-Imam Al-Hussein
(A), son of Fatimah Az-Zahraa (A).
Flocks wearing black mourning dresses, chanting ‘Ya Zahraa’ and
slapping their heads and chests, attended majalis and processions in
the city. Replica coffin of Sayedah Az-Zahraa (A) was also brought
out.
After having a round of the two holy shrines of Al-Imam Al-Hussein (A)
and Al-Abbas (A), the processions reached at Husseini shrine compound
where a majlis al-azaa was held. Sayed Hamid Al-Mayali addressed and
described sufferings of Fatimah Az-Zahraa (A) in detail while reciting
‘maqtal’.
