HOLY CITY OF NAJAF, Iraq: Marking the martyrdom anniversary of Ar-Rasol Al-Adham Muhammad bin Abdullah (peace be upon him and his pure progeny) on Safar 28, Sunday, March 18, millions from across the country gathered at the holy mausoleum of his first infallible successor, cousin and son-in-law Al-Imam Ali Al-Mortadha (peace be upon him) in the holy city of Najaf.

Security was tightened to protect the mourning devotees of Prophet (peace be upon him and his pure progeny).

Big tents were erected throughout the routes to Holy Najaf to facilitate the mourners who traveled to the city on foot and on vehicles, in caravans and individually.

Meanwhile, conferences, seminars, majalis and mawakeb were also held in different cities of Iraq to mark the occasion.
