Majalis al-aza, protests mark “Day of Mass Graves Martyrs” in Iraq

HOLY CITY OF KARBALA, Iraq: “Day of Martyrs of Mass Graves” was
observed on Wednesday May 16 throughout Iraq.
On this occasion, big rallies, protests and majalis al-azaiyah were
held at streets, husseiniyaat, mosques and holy shrines to honour the
martyrs of mass graves who were massacred by the despot Saddam.
Near Maqbaratol Wadi in Southern Karbala, foundation stone for a
memorial of mass graves martyrs was laid to mark the day.
Ministers Council had decided to observe “Day of Martyrs of Mass
Graves” on May 16 every year.
