Karbala important meeting focuses on security situation

HOLY CITY OF KARBALA, Iraq: In the wake of the recent bomb blasts
near the holy shrine of Abi’l Fadhl Al-Abbas (AS) in the holy city of
Kabala, an important wide-ranging meeting was held at the holy shrine
of Al-Imam Al-Hussein (AS).
Representative of interior minister for secret agencies affairs Adnan
Az-Zorfi, Karbala Council chief Abdul-Aal Al-Yasseri, Vice Governor of
Karbala, representatives of Maraje in Karbala, officials of the two
holy shrines – Husseini and Abbasi -, political and social figures and
heads of clans in Karbala attended the meeting.
During the meeting, all problems, mainly the security situation in the
holy city, were discussed. The participants highlighted factors of
terrorism and gave many suggestions aimed at curing the security
crisis being faced by the holy city.
More than 200 innocent devotees of Al-Imam Al-Hussein (AS) and Al-Abbas
(AS) were martyred near the holy shrine of Al-Abbas (AS) on Saturday
April 28 when they were heading to the shrines for evening prayers.
After taking important decisions in this regard the meeting concluded.
