HOLY NAJAF, Iraq: Al-Kufa Moque is one of the four
significant mosques of the world i.e. Prophet Mosque (holy Medinah),
Al-Haram Mosque (holy Makkah), Al-Aqsa Mosque (Held Jerusalem) and Al-Kufa
Mosque.
It was headquarters of Islamic caliphate during the caliphate of Amir
Al-Mo’minin Al-Imam Ali bin Abi Talib (AS).



These days, visitors of the mosque are viewing constant
work round the clock for immediate completion of its reconstruction
courtesy to the renovation of the holy shrine of Muslim bin Aqeel
(AS), ambassador of Al-Imam Al-Hussein (AS) to Kufa.
Chief engineer at the work told that the task began on 18-10-2003
after finishing of first stage of the plan that consisted of
construction of Mehraab of Al-Imam Ali (AS) inside the mosque.



He further told that the second stage is extension of the
first stage that consisted of covering the pillars with white precious
stone and Rowaaq with the yellow one while ornament of external walls
with unique mirror work and fixing Greek Marble on the floor and some
walls.
