Security plan marking Moharram put in order in Karbala

HOLY CITY OF KARBALA, Iraq: Marking the oncoming mourning month of
Moharram, security plans with cooperation of army and police heads
have been initiated on December 25 Dholqadah 26 in the holy city of
Karbala – home to the holy shrines of Al-Imam Abi Abdellah Al-Hussein
(AS) and Al-Abbas b. Ali (AS).
This was stated by chief of army in Defense Ministry Ali Ghidan while
addressing a news conference here which was attended by Karbala
operations chief Othman Al-Ghanami and head of Karbala police Ali
Jassem Muhammad.
Ali Ghidan further told the newsmen that Karbala has been distributed
in 18 security zones, checking system has been made more efficient,
Iraqi planes will remain present for safety of zayreen (Husseini
mourning pilgrims), and special places for their landing have been
set.
The press conference was held to let know journalists the special
security plans for Moharram mourning.
