Mourners start on trekking to Karbala for Arbaeen

HOLY CITY OF KARBALA, Iraq: To commemorate Arbaeen Al-Husseini
(40th day after the martyrdom of Imam Hussein) at the shrine of
Al-Imam Abi Abdellah Al-Hussein (AS) Husseini mourners have started
their travel – on foot or vehicle, some individually while some in
caravans - to the holy city of Karbala with the start of the month of
Safar.
Throughout the routes to the holy Karbala, security has been beefed up
and big camps to facilitate the Husseini mourners with meals, drink
and place to rest were set up.
