Ya Hussein … Bani Assad commemorates Imam Hussein (p) burial in Karbala

HOLY KARBALA, Iraq: Amid tight security arrangements, tribe of Bani
Assad commemorated the burial of Al-Imam Al-Hussein (p) and his near
and dear ones, who rendered supreme sacrifice to defend Islam and
Shariah some 1,400 years ago in the plain of Karbala, on 13th of
Moharram Saturday January 10 by holding Husseini procession.
At least 45 Husseini groups contributed in the commemoration. Women
led the procession in memory of Al-Assadiah women’s high stance on 3rd
day after the martyrdom of Al-Imam Al-Hussein (p).
It is not a secret that Bani Assad men hesitated in burial of
Al-Imam Al-Hussein (p) because of fear of Yazidi forces, but it were
their women who showed their intention to go for burial of the Imam
(p) putting aside consequences which they were about to face on burial
from Yazidi forces, which encouraged men and then they buried the holy
corpses of imam (p)’s dear and near ones.
The commemoration continued for hours and ended at the holy mausoleums
of Al-Imam Al-Hussein (p) and his brother Al-Abbas (p).
