TNFJ chief urges govt to resolve difficulties of intending pilgrims

By: Salman Alvi

RAWALPINDI, October 29: Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah Moosavi, chief of the Tehreek Nafaz-e-Fiqh-e-Jafariya, Pakistan has called upon the government to seriously review the difficulties faced by the intending pilgrims and take effective and practical steps to resolve the same.

He stated this while talking to office-bearers of Be’sat-ul-Hajj of Wahdat Ulama who called on him at the head of Allama Muhammad Abbas Zaini here on Wednesday. The delegation while apprising Agha Moosavi about the difficulties faced by intending Hajis said that the intending Hajis left out in the draw by the Ministry of Religious Affairs were very upset because if the daughter has won the draw, her father is left out. Similarly, the husband is left out while his wife has won the draw. They said many people were deprived of Hajj last year also because of similar problems.

Agha Moosavi said Hajj is one of the important elements (Rukn) of the religion on which foundation of the religion is laid. The meaning of Hajj is to intend Bait-Ullah and Bait-ul-Haram, this is a great worship in which Hajis are guests and Almighty Allah is their host. The basic condition along with other conditions for Hajj is the ability to do so, as it is binding for everyone who has ability. He said Allah declared some things “Wajib” and “Halal” owing to some reasons and stopped from some, as there is evil in that. He said no action of the Wise is without any reasoning.

The TNFJ chief said on one hand Hajj Bait-Ullah is the show of Islamic World’s manpower besides being an international gathering providing an opportunity to know about each other’s problems and practical display of brotherhood and mutual understanding.

He said this occasion provides Ummat-e-Ausat Millat-e-Islamia the best platform to understand and resolve their problems and announce their commitment for any struggle to do so because on other forums, rulers and politicians of rest of the world are assembled but Hajj Bait-Ullah is an excellent international Islamic forum that provides an opportunity for general public to assemble on one platform.

The Quaid-i-Millat-i-Jafariya Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah Moosavi said this year Hajj is coming on such an occasion when 57 Muslim States have pondered over their problems at the OIC Summit and felt that a minor Zionist power has shattered the world peace and her oppression and nefarious activities are on the rise, particularly against the Islamic World.

He said chief of the international colonial powers i.e. America was not only trampling peace all over the world but it has made the United Nations her hostage also. He said if the oppressed nations and the Islamic World desire to get rid of colonial oppression then they would have to get the United Nations rid of America, first. Because, he added, incidents of murder, arson and blasts have become the order of the day in Iraq and the United States is causing to conduct all this in a bid to provide a solid justification for her attack on Iraq. In these circumstances, he said, Muslim rulers are under the obligation to give up begging attitude against America and adopt a concrete and joint strategy in the larger interest of the Muslim Ummah.
