Haifa eatery blast kills about 2-dozen

JERUSALEM: Nearly two-dozen people were killed in a Palestinian martyrdom-seeking bombing in the northern Israeli port city of Haifa on Saturday.

According to reports the blast that ripped through a popular crowded beach restaurant occurred in the high holiday period between Rosh Hashana and Yom Kippur. More than 51 people were injured in the bombing, some severely.
