Kuwaitis observing 7th Imam (as)’s martyrdom anniversary

KUWAIT CITY: Commemorating the occasion of the martyrdom anniversary of Hazrat Imam Mussa bin Jafar Al-Kazim (as) on Rajab 25, Majalis-e-Azaiyah and Mawakib Azaiyah will begin from today at all hussainiyaat throughout Kuwait.

Sayed Jassem Al-Karbalayi will address a Majlis-e-Azaiyah at hussainiyah Bu-Hamd while Mulla Ahmed Al-Bawi will pay homage by reciting dirges.

Imam Mussa Al-Kazim (as) was martyred in 183 A.H. in prison where he passed 14 years of his life till he was poisoned by the most cruel and tyrannical king of Abbasid Emperor Harun Ar-Rasheed. Then Imam (as)’s holy corpse was taken out of the prison and left on the bridge of Baghdad. Imam Al-Kazim (as)’s holy mausoleum is housed in Kazimain Sharifain, near Iraqi capital city of Baghdad.
