Tomb of Ayat Baqer As-Sadr to be erected after 23 yrs By: Ismail Zabeeh HOLY CITY OF NAJAF, Iraq: Holy city of Najaf, which is home to the holy shrine of Amir-ul-Momineen Al-Imam Ali Ibn-e-Abi Talib (AS), is prepared to build a tomb of martyred Ayatullah Sayyid Mohammad Baqer As-Sadr. Ayatullah Sayyid Mohammad Baqer As-Sadr was a great philosopher, intellectual and thinker. His tomb will be constructed after 23 years of his martyrdom. He was martyred on 9th April 1980 at the hands of cruel Iraqi Ba'th regime, which martyred thousands of innocent people including Ayaat, religious scholars, thinkers and their family members. According to the followers of Ayatullah Baqer As-Sadr, 400 million Dinar that equals 200,000 dollars have been set aside for the tomb project which also include two Madressah (schools) and a hospital.
