Libya proposes tri-partite board to solve Ayat Mussa issue By: Sheikh Muhammad Khurasani TEHRAN, Iran: A top Libyan official has handed over a letter from President Moammar Al-Qaddafi to Iranian officials in which the Libya’s President expressed his willingness to solve the issue of disappearance of Ayatullah Sayyid Mussa As-Sadr, Iranian newspaper Etamad reported. As-Sadr, chairman Lebanese Muslim Shiite Supreme Council, was disappeared or kidnapped and some say was killed in 1978 by Libya. His followers still await him and his pictures still adorn the streets of Lebanon. He gave the Lebanese a voice, a voice that is still heard. Al-Qaddafi, in his letter, suggested formation of a tri-partite committee that includes representatives from Libya, Iran and Lebanon to discuss the long-pending issue, and continuation till results in this regard. According to the paper, Qaddafi hinted in his letter that the American officials were well-informed about the content of many of the private sessions of the Libyan government, and that they told the Libyans these information during discussions that took place between the two sides.
