Finland org asks authorities to hunt Hilla bombing architects

HELSINKI, Finland: Finland’s Ansar Shaheed Al-Mehrab Organization,
a body subordinate to Supreme Council for Islamic Revolution in Iraq
that is headed by Sayyed Abdul Aziz Al-Hakim, has severely condemned
Hilla dual bombing in which nearly three-dozen innocent Iraqis were
martyred.
In a statement issued, the organization said the continuing terrorism
being carried out by orphans of present age Pharaoh – Saddam – and
their allies is aimed at suspending political process in the country
as well as destabilizing it.
Extending condolences to the bereaved families and praying for the
injured, it demanded from the powers that be to arrest the culprits
and punish them.
Monday, May 30, at least 30 people were martyred and over 130 wounded
in the dual suicide bomb attack in the town of Hilla, 95km (60 miles)
south of Baghdad.
Police said the bombers mingled with a crowd of policemen protesting
against a decision to disband their unit. One bomber detonated his
charge in the middle of the crowd, the reports said. A second blew
himself up about a minute later, as people fled the first bombing.
The scene of the blasts, covered in pools of blood and scattered with
remains of clothes and shoes, was immediately cordoned off.
Over 700 Iraqis have been martyred in terrorism since the Iraqi
government took office last month.
