By: Abdulali
AL-MABRAZ, Saudi Arabia: Zekra
Estash’had, or the martyrdom anniversary, of Al-Imam Ali b. Al-Hussein
Zeyn Al-Abidin As-Sajjad (A) was solemnly observed in Saudi eastern
parts.
Speakers while addressing huge mourning gatherings – majales and
maweakeb al-azaiyah – at mosques, husseiniyaat and maatam threw light
on the life of the fourth infallible imam who despite severe sickness,
being chained and detained, fulfilled his divine duty of protecting
the holy mission for which his father had rendered great matchless
sacrifice in the scorching plains of Karbala.
Sheikh Hussein Al-Ayesh addressed a majles marking the occasion at
Al-Imam Ali (A) mosque in Al-Mabraz city, Al-Ahsaa, on the topic of
“Al-Imam Zeyn Al-Abidin – Patron of Human Values”. Highlighting
different aspects of the life of Imam (A), he urged the need of
following the teachings of Imam Ali b. Al-Hussein (A).
Imam (A) once said: “you are bound to return amanah (entrusted thing).
By Him who has sent Muhammad as His Prophet with truth, if the
murderer of my father Hussein would give me as amanah his that sword
with which he slaughtered him, I would return him.”
Al-Ayesh further said that Imam (A) invited people to have a
connection with Allah instead of worldly masters through his
supplications. When once Imam (A) passed by a poor man who was weeping
for some of his money was dropped from his hand, Imam Zeyn Al-Abidin
(A) turned towards him saying that if the world would under my hand,
then it would drop down, it is not good to weep for it.
He said Imam (A) laid a number of examples of upholding truth and
protecting values through his deeds.
In Saudi Arabia, followers of Ahlul Bayt (A) do not shop, hold any
wedding, or organize any merriment till 8th of Raby Al-Oulaa, 3rd
Islamic month, the end of mourning period.

"Knowledge is
better than wealth because it protects you while you have to
guard wealth. it decreases if you keep on spending it but the
more you make use of knowledge ,the more it increases . what you
get through wealth disappears as soon as wealth disappears but
what you achieve through knowledge will remain even after you."MORE
