NJ Seerat-un-Nabi confab underlines need of unity

NEW JERSEY, United Stated: Leaders, scholars and clerics belonging to different schools of thought (Shia, Sunni) at Seerat-un-Nabi conference and Eid Milad-un-Nabi (S.W.) festival in New Jersey put emphasis on the need of unity among Muslims to thwart anti-Islam conspiracies.

The conference & festival was arranged by Islamic Days Celebrating Council and Shia American Relationship Council at Rose Garden Hall.

Imam of Makki Mosque New York Hafiz Muhammad Sabir, Al-Medina Mosque Queens New York’s Mufti Abdur Rehman Qamar, founding General-Secretary of Shia Association of North America Syed Ehtasham Kazmi, renowned scholar and chairman Muslim Foundation Muhammad Sarwat Ali, Syed Istafa Naqvi of Jafariya Association of North America, famous Quran reciter Qari Syed Sadaqat Ali, renowned Na’at reciter Noor Muhammad Jaral, Asghar Chishti, Hafiz Atiqur Rehman, Zaer Naqvi, Qari Muhammad Farouq, Qaria Naila Ali, Na’at reciter Shehla Ropali, Fatima Jafari, Farza and Rahila Firdos made special participation in the gathering which was a magnificent display of harmony among Muslims.

Officiating council general Syed Foad Sher was the chief guest who while addressing the event termed the pious life of holy Prophet (S.W.) ‘source of success in this world and the hereafter’.

In their addresses, Hafiz Muhammad Sabir, Muhammad Sarwat Ali, Syed Istafa Naqvi, Mufti Abdur Rehman Qamar, Syed Ehtasham Kazmi, and organizer of the program Syed Ehtasham Haider Naqvi highlighted the significance of unity.


Damascus convention revolves around ways to Muslim unity

DAMASCUS, Syria: Second annual Islamic unity conference in the Syrian capital city of Damascus focused on ways to Muslim harmony and nearness among them.
