RAWALPINDI, Pakistan : Syed Mazhar Ali Shah Advocate, Secretary General of Tehreek Nafaz-e-Fiqh-e-Jafariya has demanded from the government to form an Enquiry Commission forthwith to improve the situation in Gilgit so as to conduct enquiry under the norms of justice and fair-play and make its report public.

He stated this while talking to office-bearers of Wahdat Ulema-e-Pakistan in their office under the leadership of Hojjatul Islam Allama Syed Muhammad Abbas Zaini. He said anarchy and differences in sensitive areas like Gilgit and Baltistan could only be checked when all sections of society avoid discrimination and rights of everyone are taken care of on the basis of equality.

He said knowledge and awareness have been considered the foundation of the religion on the basis of which ulema enjoy an important place after Prophets, Messengers, Ahle Bait-e-Atahar, Sahaba Kubar, Aulia and Saleheen and who have been described as inheritors of Prophets and looking towards their faces is considered worship.

Mazhar Ali Shah said there is a saying of the Holy Prophet (SAW) that soon a time would come for my Ummah when people would run away from ulema like a sheep runs away from a wolf. When this would happen, Allah would involve them in three things: take off ‘barkat’ from the wealth, impose oppressive rulers on them, and people would leave this world without faith (Iman).

He said the Holy Prophet (SAW) said that ask from ulema, talk with intellectuals and sit with fuqara but all this is for Ulema-e-Haq. The worst ulema are considered those who go to the rich, and the best rich are those who go to ulema. The responsibility of fulfilling the duty of Amar Bil Ma’aroof and Nahi Anil Munker lay on ulema the most.

The TNFJ Secretary General said today the Taghooti world has given the wrong meanings to jihad; they are increasing the pressure on oppressed nations and Muslims by declaring them fundamentalists, extremists and terrorists so as to create justification for her interference.

After destructing Afghanistan, massacre in Iraq is going on and at present Iran is their target. They are using new tactic every day to increase the pressure further so as to weigh the Muslim strength. They desecrated the holy places in Iraq, showed torch to religious books, attacked the honour and dignity of Mashaheer-e-Islam and now have committed desecration of Quran but the Islamic World did not move, every Muslim rulers has restricted himself to his own shackle and give a damn to the nation. They only keep their rule dearest, he said adding that they should have summoned OIC emergent session, Islamic World should have increased pressure on the United Nations by announcing that if this activity was not checked and a punishment for it was not proposed then they would quit the United Nations because there is no justification for such an organisation to exist that was created to protect and defend the rights of all but is following a biased course, particularly treating Muslims hypocritically.

Shah said the Islamic World Authority should register a case with the international court because desecration of Quran is the desecration of Islam and no religion bears desecration of its Holy Book.

He said Pakistan is an atomic power having Islam as its Basic Ideology and is the citadel of Islam. Pakistan should raise this issue with full force. He called upon the government to implement the May 21, 1985 Junejo-Moosavi agreement so as to pay the rights of the Maktab-e-Tashayyo like other Makatib for the progress and stability of the country.
