RAWALPINDI, Pakistan November 12:
Youm-e-Inhidaam-e-Jannatul Baqee (Day of Demolition of Baqee Cemetery)
was observed throughout the country like other global parts on
Friday, Shawal 8, with religious and national spirit, devotion and
respect on the call of Quaid-i-Millat-i-Jafariya Agha Syed Hamid Ali
Shah Moosavi against the destruction of holy shrines of daughter of
holy Prophet (SAW) Khatoon-e-Jannat Hazrat Fatima Zahra (S.A.),
Ummahatul Momineen (R.A.) and Sahaba Kubaar (R.A.) on 8th Shawal, 1925
at the hands of the then Saudi rulers.
 |
Protest rallies were organised, Majalis-e-Aza were held and peaceful
protest mourning demonstrations were held in all big cities and towns
of the country on this occasion.
In Rawalpindi, the main Youm-e-Inhidaam-e-Jannatul Baqee Matmi
procession was taken out from Imambargah Nasir-ul-Aza Murree Road in
which tens of thousands of people participated and lodged strong
protest against the dilapidated condition of the Jannatul Baqee while
Matmi groups presented condolence to the holy Prophet (SAW) on the
destruction of holy shrines of his beloved daughter Hazrat Fatima
Zahra (S.A.), Azwaaj-e-Mutaheraat (R.A.) and Sahaba Kubaar (R.A.).

rally that included: TNFJ Provincial Council Punjab President Syed Abu
Jafar Naqvi, Central Convener Youm-e-Inhidaam-e-Jannatul Baqee
Committee Alhaj Ghulam Murtaza Chauhan, Regional President TNFJ
Rawalpindi Allama Abul Hassan Taqi, Allama Zahid Abbas Kazmi, Allama
Qalab-e-Abbas Bokhari, Pir Syed Muhammad Shah Bokhari, Allama Agha
Saqlain Haider Kazmi, Sardar Ibadat Hussain Shah, Ch. Abu Baidar Ali,

Qasim Ali Shah Kazmi, Bawa Syed Mazloom Hussain Shah, Syed Tauseef
Hussain Kazmi, Agha Syed Muhammad Murtaza Moosavi Advocate, Agha Syed
Ali Roohul Abbas Moosavi Advocate, Syed Iftikhar Hussain Mashadi,
Meesam Tammar, Abu Nasr Kazmi, Ch. Khalid, Central President MSO Baqir
Hussain Naqvi, leaders of other religious organisations and Salars of
Matmi Groups.

The participants of the rally raised slogans against the demolition of
holy shrine while the thousands of minors belonging to Mukhtar
Generation were carrying banners and placards inscribed with slogans
regarding the demands of reconstruction of Jannatul Baqee. Noha-Khwani
and Matamdari continued throughout the rally that turned into a big
protest meeting after reaching Committee Chowk.
Addressing the protest meeting, Syed Qamar Haider Zaidi, Central
Secretary Information of the TNFJ, said that honour and dignity of
prophets and Aulia-Ullah is commensurate with giving respect to
religion and Shariah and keeping the signs of religious elders is
necessary for the hearty satisfaction. He said the honour and dignity
of holy shrines is not only a pious deed but also a sign of
subservience of God and nearness to Him.

He lamented that the shrines of those personalities who enlightened
the Shariah and preached the religion all over the world, were lying
destructed for the last 80 years but our rulers, politicians, and the
media were playing the role of a silent spectator. They are always
ahead in all other matters but are unable to lodge any protest on the
destruction of holy shrines of these great personalities of Islam, and
to give any news coverage of the protest.

He said if even a brick is disturbed from the grave of a dictator in
Islamabad then the whole media raises a hue and cry but they are not
ready to cover the protest against the heart-rending tragedy of
Jannatul Baqee. The Islamic World is facing a brunt owing to the
ignorance of our rulers and criminal silence on the part of our media.
A resolution, presented by TNFJ district committee of
inhidam-e-Jannatul Baqee, was adopted on this occasion that said that
some issues are related with an individual that affect only that
individual while some issues are of collective nature that affect the
whole society. These issues are not related to any group, tribe or a
country but if no attention is given to these issues then the whole
humanity could come under its affect.

The resolution said Jannatul Baqee and Jannatul Mualla are also
amongst those problems that are faced by the world of humanity. These
issues are not related to any tribe, Maslak, Arab or non-Arab rather
to the whole humanity, particularly the Muslim Ummah because we are
Ummat-e-Rasool (SAW) that is called Ummat-e-Wasat. These great and
holiest places were bulldozed 80 years ago grieving the whole world on
this tragedy and plunging the whole world into darkness on which ulema
of the Sub-continent raised the voice of protest without any
discrimination. The protest being lodged by Tehreek
Nafaz-e-Fiqh-e-Jafariya for the last 25 years is a part of that
struggle.

The resolution said the OIC was under the obligation to keep the issue
of restoring the honour and dignity of Jannatul Baqee and Jannatul
Mualla on top of their list and the United Nations should have given
it priority in line with protecting the human rights but none of them
gave any attention on this issue.
It said as Pakistan came into being owing to Islam, therefore, such
issues should have been kept on top of the list of its duties.
Therefore, whereas President Musharraf is doing many other jobs, he
should also raise this issue on international level because the reason
of various issues confronted by the Muslim Ummah is non-solution of
such issues.

The resolution made it clear that media is more effective than atomic
bomb in the present era. The Pakistani media that publishes editorials
and special numbers on issues of minor nature, should have invited the
attention of Saudi government on this heart-rending tragedy but it is
tragic that they totally ignored news about Youm-e-Inhidaam-e-Jannatul
Baqee what to talk about writing editorials and articles on this issue
and the Jang Group is ahead of them. Newspapers of this Groups used to
carry news and advertisement on this issue two years back but at
present the proprietors of this Group and the champion of yellow
journalism Mahmood Sham who is dominating the media policy of this
Group, has stopped publication of Quaid-i-Millat-i-Jafariya Agha Syed
Hamid Ali Shah Moosavi’s message on the occasion of
Youm-e-Inhidaam-e-Jannatul Baqee and announcements of programmes
regarding it.

The resolution cleared that reconstruction of Jannatul Baqee is not
the issue of only Shias but is the issue of 140 million Pakistanis and
the whole humanity. The Jang Group did not care the 140 million
Pakistanis, 1.25 billion Muslims, 6 billion human beings and above all
the Rasool (SAW), Aal-e-Rasool (A.S.), Ummahat-ul-Momineen (R.A.), and
pious Sahaba Karam (R.A.) just to please a government and their
foreign masters. In this situation if the earthquakes would not
shatter the country then should the Mann-o-Salva land for them?
The participants resolved that they honour the policy of
Quaid-i-Millat-i-Jafariya Agha Moosavi who preaches that oppression
and brutality should be defeated through Mazloomiyyat. They said they
share an equal part in creating Pakistan and its betterment,
Maktab-e-Tashayyo worked as advanced party in every hour of need
despite being confronted with many incidents including the recent
incident of Bari Imam. We have always given priority to the integrity
and solidarity of Pakistan and forbearance but to what extent?

The resolution said that newspapers ignoring the news about
Youm-e-Inhidaam-e-Jannatul Baqi are actually small in nature and the
small newspapers that highlight this issue within their limits are big
in character and we pay tributes to them. They resolved that their
peaceful Matmi procession would continue till the restoration of
dignity and honour of the holy graves of Bint-e-Rasool (S.A.), Aal
Atahaar (A.S.), Ummahatul Momineen (R.A.) and pious Sahaba Kubaar (R.A.)
and the dominance of justice and fair-play over oppression. We will
continue condemning oppression in whatever shape it is and will
support the oppressed wherever they are.

Hussain performing Matamdari and Noha-Khwani after adopting the
resolutions with vociferous slogans where the rally concluded after
