ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The three-day mourning announced by Pakistani
Shias leader and TNFJ Chief Agha Hamid Moosavi in connection with
tragic martyrdoms of hundreds of Azadaran as a result of mortar bomb
attacks on the Matmi procession taken out in Baghdad (Kazmia) on the
occasion of Shahadat of Hazrat Imam Moosa Kazim (A.S.) and the Baghdad
bridge tragedy, concluded.

Ulema and speakers during Friday congregations paid homage to the Shuhada of Baghdad bridge tragedy and lodged strong protest over the
attack on Matmi procession and continued bloodshed in Iraq.
In Federal Capital Islamabad, a Majlis-e-Aza under the District
Ayyam-e-Sog Committee of TNFJ was held at Darbar Sakhi Mahmood Badshah
followed by a peaceful protest rally led by ulema, religious,
political and social elites at Aabpara Chowk against desecration of
holy places in Iraq, and bloodshed on innocent Iraqi people.

TNFJ District Islamabad President Allama Basharat Hussain Imami
criticising the tragedy said it was the job of international colonial
powers that were using different tactics to cease the resources of all
Muslim States including Iraq. The participants of the procession, by
completing the route of the procession, proved that the voice of the
righteousness could not be suppressed.
A resolution adopted on the occasion said lakhs of people were
martyred in Iraq after the interference of allied forces, many cities
were razed to ground and holy places of Najaf, Karbala and Kazmain
desecrated. The resolution said that the solution of this situation is
that rulers of Muslim States submit themselves to Allah instead of
international Taghoot, come out from their shells and consider attack
on any Muslim and oppressed State an attack on Shariat and humanity.

The resolution lamented that State terrorism was going on in Kashmir
and Palestine for more than a half century, lakhs of people have been
massacred but the Islamic World, Arab League and OIC were keeping a
criminal silence. It called upon the whole Islamic World to raise
voice against oppression going on in all Islamic States while OIC
should take stock of the critical situation and devise a courageous
and joint strategy. The resolution made it clear that right could not
suppressed through such condemnable tactics of terrorism and
bloodshed.
The resolution said Azadari is that live miracle that more it was
suppressed the more it springs up, the proof is continuation of Taboot
procession by lakhs of people despite martyrdom of more than a
thousand people.

He said the silence of human rights champions and international
organisations including the OIC on the Baghdad bridge tragedy is
meaningful and provides food for thought. He expressed his shock that
western media and colonial agents have tried to give the Baghdad
tragedy a wrong colour but they should keep in mind that righteousness
and truth could not be hidden. Mutual unity and brotherhood expressed
by the Iraqi people without any discrimination on the basis of Maslak
or sect has proved that no power on earth could create differences
amongst them.
The resolution while expressing complete solidarity with the oppressed
people of Iraq, Afghanistan, Kashmir and Palestine believed that these
States would see the dawn of independence one day and the enemies of
Islam and humanity would fail in their heinous designs.
Paying homage to the martyrs of Baghdad bridge tragedy the resolution
said that practical display of unity and brotherhood by Iraqi people
is a slap in the face of evil forces that was utilising all its energy
in pitching Maktab against Maktab and country against country so that
it would tell the world that Muslim are not only divided rather they
are extremists and violent so that ground to declare them terrorists
could be laid.
Majlis-e-Aza for the martyrs of Baghdad bridge tragedy was held at
Imambargah Zain-ul-Abideen (A.S.) under the auspices of TNFJ District
Ayyam-e-Sog Committee. District President TNFJ Alhaj Ghulam Murtaza
Chauhan, Allama Syed Zahid Abbas Kazmi, Maulana Syed Tabassum Abbas
Kazmi addressed the gathering while Syed Abd-e-Hadi recited the
Hadees-e-Kisa. Matamdari and Noha-Khwani was performed by Matmi Dasta
Ghulaman-e-Abu Talib (A.S.) after the Majlis.
