TNFJ meet calls upon govt for special arrangements on Hafta-e-Ehad-o-Paiman

By: Salman Alvi

RAWALPINDI, Pakistan: An important meeting of the central office-bearers, subordinate departments including Markazi Muharram Committee Azadari Cell and heads of other committees was held here to review the organisational progress of the Tehreek and the performance of its central and subordinate departments.

Syed Mazhar Ali Shah Advocate, Secretary General of Tehreek Nafaz-e-Fiqh-e-Jafariya Pakistan who presided over the meeting in his address expressed satisfaction over almost peaceful programmes of Matmi processions and Majalis-e-Aza during the month of Muharram and on the occasion of Chehlum of Syed-ush-Shuhada (A.S.) and paid tributes to Azadaran-e-Imam Aali Muqaam for performing Azadari rites in line with the Code of Azadari announced by Quaid-i-Millat-i-Jafariya Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah Moosavi.

He lauded the government for forming Muharram Azadari Cells at the Centre and in the provinces on the demand of TNFJ and for making special law and order arrangements. He called upon the government to make special arrangements for Hafta-e-Ehad-o-Paiman Majalis and the Matmi processions to be taken out throughout the country on 8th Rabiul Awwal.

Shah said our mourning against blasphemy and Samarra tragedy would continue till 8th Rabiul Awwal while peaceful universal protest of Azadari against oppression and brutality would continue till the Zahoor of Imam Al-Asr Al-Zaman (A.S.). International colonial powers are afraid of Hussainiyyat therefore they not only committed massacre of innocent people in Iraq during Ayyam-e-Aza in the garb of different pretexts but also did not spare holy places while the incidents of bloodshed were still going on there the objective of which is to prolong the stay of allied forces in Iraq.

Paying tributes to the exemplary unity of Maraje Uzzam and Iraqi people, he said religious circles and Makatib of Iraq have proved through their deeds that there is no Maktabi conflict there, however, the international colonial powers were trying all out to pitch brother against brother in which her designs will be thwarted but she will have to face imminent failure in doing so.

A resolution unanimously adopted on the occasion called upon international organisations, particularly the United Nations, to play their role in restoring peace and discontinue massacre of innocent people and for this purpose they would have to ensure immediate pullout of allied forces from the Iraqi soil.

Another resolution called upon the Muslim rulers to summon the OIC session forthwith and devise a strong, stable strategy to restore peace in Iraq and stop massacre of innocent Iraqi people.

Strongly condemning hurling of threats against Iran and Syria, another resolution made it clear that every country has the right to consolidate her defence. It called upon the Muslim rulers to summon the OIC session forthwith so as to devise a strong and stable strategy for the defence of the Islamic World otherwise every one would have to wait for his turn, one by one.

The resolution demanded effective implementation of Anti-Terrorism Act introduced by President Pervez Musharraf to root out terrorism from the country and impose ban on the activities of the already banned organisations that were working with new names.

Another resolution expressed complete solidarity with the oppressed people of Kashmir and Palestine.
