Ashura marked in Bangladesh

DHAKA, Bangladesh: Bangladeshis on Friday February 10 observed Ashura to mourn the martyrdom of the Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (s.w.)'s grandson Hazrat Imam Hussain (a.s.).

Marking the occasion, majales-e-aza and processions were held in all cities and towns attended by thousands of mourners.

Zanjir-zani (losing blood from back with blades to signify grief on the martyrdom of Imam Hussain) was performed during the processions to pay homage to Hazrat Imam Hussain (a.s.).

Models of Imam Hussain (a.s.)'s horse and replicas of his coffin were also taken out in the processions.

Shiias in Bangladesh facing deprivation, poverty

DHAKA, Bangladesh: Followers of Ahl-ol Bayt (a.s.) in Bangladesh are facing poverty and cultural deprivation, Ar-Rasul Al-Adham (s.w.) Cultural Foundation delegation reported.

"Knowledge is better than wealth because it protects you while you have to guard wealth. it decreases if you keep on spending it but the more you make use of knowledge ,the more it increases . what you get through wealth disappears as soon as wealth disappears but what you achieve through knowledge will remain even after you."MORE ..
