Worldwide majalis, matam denounce Samarra shrine destruction

HYDERABAD, India: Millions of Muslims, both
Shia and Sunnis, condemned bombing of holy Askariyain shrine by
holding majalis, matam and mourning processions in Iraq, India,
Lebanon, Iran, Syria, Pakistan, Britain, Indian-held Kashmir, Saudi
Arabia, Bahrain, Kuwait and other countries. Condolences were conveyed
to 12th Imam (may Allah hasten his reappearance) marking the sorrowful
tragedy.

WASHINGTON: United Nations, United States, Britain, Canada, Saudi Arabia, Lebanon, Turkey, Iran, Hamas party and Jordan have condemned Wednesday’s blast that heavily damaged one of the holiest sites of the Islamic World in Samarra, Iraq.
