Held-Kashmir Hussaini procession honors Karbala martyrs

SRINAGAR, Held Kashmir: To pay homage to Imam Hussain (a.s.) who saved Islam and high values of Shariat by giving his blood some 1,400 years ago in the scorching plain of Karbala, a big mourning procession was held in Indian-held Kashmir’s capital city of Srinagar on Sunday February 5.

Throughout the route, the mourners while holding alam (standards) of Hazret-e-Abbas (a.s.) were performing matam (chest-beating) and noha-khoani.


Farsh-i-aza spread across India to honor Karbala martyrs

HYDERABAD, India: Farsh-i-aza (mourning carpet) has been spread across India to pay rich homage to supreme sacrifices rendered by Hazrat Imam Hussain (a.s.) and is 72 devoting-companions for supremacy of Islam and Shariah and defense of high human values some 1,400 years ago in the burning desert of Karbala.
