Ayat Najafi harshly denounces Baqouba holy shrines demolition

HOLY CITY OF NAJAF, Iraq: Ayatullah Hafez Sheikh Bashir An-Najafi has strongly condemned demolition of six holy shrines around Baqouba in bombings at the hands of terrorists.

In a statement, the Ayatullah said soil of Iraq is full of graves of prophets of Allah (a.s.), A’immah (a.s.) and righteous persons of Allah, and criminals desire to raze these aimed at freeing the earth of graves of signs of religion and creating rift among Muslims.

On this Saturday and Sunday, six holy shrines of Abdullah bin Al-Imam Al-Hadi, Jaber bin Al-Imam Al-Hadi, Abo Al-Hadid, and Prophet Danyal (a) and other holy personalities were badly damaged at the hands of terrorists in a series of blasts around the Baqouba area northeast of Iraqi capital city of Baghdad.

BAGHDAD, Iraq: After the deadly tragedy of destruction of holy shrines of Al-Imam Ali Al-Hadi (a) and Al-Imam Hasan Al-Askari (a) in holy Samarra, six other holy shrines have been badly damaged at the hands of terrorists in a series of blasts around the Baqouba area northeast of Iraqi capital city of Baghdad.
