DAMASCUS, Syria: Holy Prophet (SW) said: Rajab is month of Allah, Shaban is my month and Ramadan is the month of my ummah (people); beware he who keeps a fast in Rajab, he is far from Allah’s wrath; Rajab is the name of a river in heaven which is more white than milk, sweeter than honey, he who keeps a fast in Rajab, Allah will make him drink from that river.

This was stated by Sheikh Kamal Ma’ash while he was addressing a religious gathering at Hozah Ilmiyah Zaynabiyah in Sayedah Zaynab, Damascus.

After highlighting significance and importance of the month of Rajab, Ma’ash threw light on different aspects of the holy life of Aqeelah Bani Hashem Sayedah Zaynab binte Ali (AS). She was martyred on Rajab 15.

He said that from the domes of A’immah and members of Ahl-il Beit (AS) we absorb light of knowledge, but this day signs of Ahl-il Beit of Prophet Muhammad (SW) are facing threats of demolishing and destruction. He urged the need to protect these.
